Chennai, Oct 23 (NationPress) The team behind director Shaji Kailas's Malayalam action survival thriller 'Varavu' has unveiled the much-anticipated first look poster, much to the excitement of fans and cinema enthusiasts.

The poster was revealed on the birthday of the film's lead actor, Joju George, adding a special touch to the occasion.

Sources indicate that this film marries the essence of the Malabar region with gripping action-thriller components. Numerous celebrities, including Suresh Gopi, have sent their birthday greetings to Joju and shared the poster across their social media platforms.

The visual features Joju gazing intensely through a broken jeep windshield, hinting that 'Varavu' promises to be a thrilling experience. Accompanied by the tagline “Game of Survival”, the first look captures the film's core essence.

Set in the stunning backdrop of the Malabar region, 'Varavu' narrates the life struggles of a character named Polly, also referred to as Polachan. The initial glimpse suggests the signature “Joju magic” that audiences can look forward to.

Alongside Joju, the film features Vani Vishwanath, known as the action queen of Malayalam cinema, adding to the film's intense moments. Sources suggest that the combination of Shaji Kailas’s direction and Joju's compelling performance will create a distinctive cinematic journey for viewers.

Interestingly, 'Varavu' marks the inaugural collaboration between Joju George and Shaji Kailas.

Produced under the banner of Olga Productions, the film showcases Reji Prothasis and Nicey Reji as producers, with Jomy Joseph as the co-producer.

This action-survival thriller features breathtaking stunts orchestrated by renowned stunt professionals from South India, including Anup Arivu, Stunt Silva, Kai Kingston, Jacky Johnson, Phoenix Prabhu, and Kanal Kannan.

Joju George is also gearing up for future projects, including collaborations with Joshi and Bhadra. Announcements regarding his Tamil film and Bollywood debut are anticipated later this year.

A notable highlight of 'Varavu' will be the return of popular Malayalam actress Sukanya. The film also features notable actors such as Murali Gopi, Arjun Ashokan, Babu Raj, Vinci Aloysius, Saniya Iyyappan, Ashwin Kumar, Abhimanyu Shammi Tilakan, Biju Pappan, Bobby Kuryan, Azeez Nedumangad, Sreejith Ravi, Deepak Parambol, Kottayam Ramesh, Balaji Sharma, Chali Pala, and Radhika Radhakrishnan in pivotal roles.

The screenplay has been crafted by A.K. Sajan, recognized for successful films such as 'Chinthamani Kolacase', 'Red Chillies', and 'Drona'. Cinematography is handled by S. Saravanan, while Shameer Mohammed takes care of editing.

Art direction is managed by Sabu Ram, with makeup by Saji Kattakada, and costume design by Sameer Sanish.

Filming is occurring in locations like Munnar, Marayur, Theni, and Kottayam, with the shoot expected to wrap up in 70 days.
