New Delhi, Nov 13 (NationPress) The children of Mohsin, a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh who tragically lost his life in the car bomb explosion near Delhi's Red Fort on November 11, have called on the authorities to hold the perpetrators accountable for this tragedy.
In an interview with IANS, Mohsin's family recounted the devastating incident and emphasized the need for stringent action against those responsible.
Mohsin's son stated, "Punish those who are responsible."
His daughter further added, "I just want to say that whoever is responsible should be punished."
Mohsin's brother-in-law expressed the family's pain: "I was in Ahmedabad when I heard about the blast. Early this morning, around 5 a.m., I received the news that the post-mortem examination had been completed. Mohsin's children are very young. The family was residing in a rented property in Delhi. While the government has made announcements, we have yet to receive any assistance."
Mohsin's younger brother, Nadim, shared, "He was around 35–36 years old and died instantly in the blast. We searched for him for hours but found no trace. His name was not even included in the initial list of victims. He drove an e-rickshaw to support his family and leaves behind two children and his wife. They live in a rented accommodation, and we have not received any support from the government. His body was severely burned, leaving only his face recognizable."
Mohsin's sister-in-law reflected on the distressing hours following the explosion: "After several attempts, an officer eventually answered and informed us he was at the Red Fort police station. At that moment, we feared he might have been caught in the blast. We were directed to LNJP Hospital, but security was tight, and we received little information. We were simply told to wait patiently."
Mohsin relocated to Delhi two years ago with his wife, Sultana, and their two children, seeking a better livelihood as an e-rickshaw driver. After his death, his remains were taken back to Meerut for his final rites.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited LNJP Hospital in Delhi to meet the survivors of the Red Fort blast. He assured that those behind this heinous act would be brought to justice.
In a post on X, PM Modi expressed, "Visited LNJP Hospital and met those injured in the blast in Delhi. I pray for everyone’s swift recovery. Those responsible for this conspiracy will be brought to justice."
