New Delhi, Nov 13 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Thursday that those accountable for the recent bomb blast, regardless of their role, will face the law and receive exemplary punishment.
During a virtual event marking the opening of Shri Motibhai R. Chaudhary Sainik School and Sagar Organic Plant in Boriyavi, Gujarat, HM Shah remarked, “The government is resolute in ensuring that the perpetrators receive exemplary punishment to convey a powerful message globally.”
He further emphasized that the steps taken against the accused will embody the nation’s zero tolerance policy regarding terrorism.
The Union Home Minister also honored the victims of the incident that occurred near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday.
In a video message directed at the audience in Gujarat, HM Shah expressed, “I am currently preoccupied with the terrorist incident in Delhi, where... lives were lost and around 25 citizens were injured. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and my prayers for the departed souls. It is imperative that all individuals involved in this bomb blast are brought to justice and face suitable punishment.”
Thirty-two vehicles, including a Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Swift Dzire, and a Ford EcoSport, were reportedly prepared to transport explosives and/or deliver bombs, as indicated by sources connected to the investigation of the Delhi Red Fort blast, according to NDTV on Thursday.
The vehicles involved, including the Hyundai i20 that detonated Monday evening, were intended for a series of 'revenge' attacks targeting various locations, including six in Delhi on December 6, marking the anniversary of the demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya.
The selected cars were older models that had been resold multiple times, complicating police tracking efforts. However, all four vehicles have now been located; the Brezza (HR87 U 9988) was found on the grounds of the Al-Falah School of Medical Sciences in Faridabad, Haryana, which has become a focal point for terrorist activities.
The EcoSport (DL10 CK 0458) was discovered late Wednesday, abandoned in Faridabad, which appears to be the operational hub for this terror module. A young man, whose identity remains unknown, was discovered asleep in the back seat and has been taken into custody, as reported by the television channel.
