New Delhi, Nov 12 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited LNJP Hospital in Delhi on Wednesday, where he met the survivors of the Red Fort blast. He emphasized that those responsible for the conspiracy will face justice.
In a post on the social media platform X, PM Modi stated, “I visited LNJP Hospital and met with the victims of the blast in Delhi. I am praying for everyone's swift recovery. Those who orchestrated this conspiracy will be held accountable.”
After completing a two-day visit to Bhutan, PM Modi arrived in the national capital on Wednesday afternoon and promptly headed to LNJP Hospital to engage with the injured and extend his wishes for their recovery.
The Prime Minister received updates from doctors and senior officials regarding the patients' conditions and their ongoing treatment.
On Tuesday, during his speech at Changlimethang Ground in Thimphu, PM Modi had assured that action would be taken against the perpetrators of the tragic car blast in Delhi. He affirmed that Indian agencies would thoroughly investigate the incident and that those behind the blast “will not escape justice.”
“I arrive here with a heavy heart. The tragic event that transpired in Delhi yesterday evening has profoundly affected everyone. I empathize with the sorrow of the families impacted. In a related development, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has established a dedicated team of ten officers to probe the blast near the Red Fort Metro Station.
This ten-member team will be headed by NIA ADG Vijay Sakhare, comprising an IG, two DIGs, three SPs, and several DSP-level officers, as reported by sources.
The explosion occurred on the evening of November 10 when a car registered in Haryana, parked near Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, detonated, resulting in at least eight fatalities and numerous injuries.
Investigative agencies are currently examining over 1,000 CCTV footage clips, as they suspect the car explosion may have been a suicide attack intended to maximize damage, according to sources from the Delhi Police.
Heightened alerts have been issued across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, with increased security measures around crowded public areas and religious sites.
