New Delhi, Nov 10 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah, displaying visible distress, visited the devastated site of the car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort late Monday night and personally engaged with the victims at Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital, committing to a thorough investigation into the blast that resulted in 10 fatalities and injured more than a dozen.

In a solemn message shared on his X account, HM Shah expressed deep sorrow and assured the country of relentless action against those culpable.

“Heartbroken by the loss of lives due to the blast in Delhi,” HM Shah stated.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have suffered loss. I have visited the site of the blast and met with the injured at the hospital. My thoughts are with them for a swift recovery. Major investigative agencies are probing the incident with utmost seriousness and will thoroughly investigate the case.”

Upon arriving at the blast location near Gate No. 1 of Lal Qila Metro Station around 9:45 PM, HM Shah examined the wreckage of the vehicle, now a twisted metal carcass surrounded by forensic markers.

He conferred with Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and NIA officials present at the scene before heading to LNJP Hospital, where he spent nearly 30 minutes with the victims, including a 12-year-old boy suffering from burn injuries and a taxi driver whose car was engulfed in flames.

It is noteworthy that earlier in the day, the J&K Police dismantled an inter-state transnational terror module linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind terror groups, recovering 2,900 kg of explosives, two assault rifles, pistols, timers, and other materials in the Faridabad area of Haryana, near New Delhi. Seven individuals have been arrested thus far.

This seizure, occurring just a day before the second phase of the Bihar assembly elections, raises concerns.

HM Shah's proactive response came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's review of the situation and condolences expressed by President Droupadi Murmu and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Security measures have been intensified across Delhi-NCR, with NSG commandos deployed at crucial installations.

HM Shah instructed the NIA, IB, and Delhi Police Special Cell to collaborate effectively, affirming, “Every avenue will be explored.”

As the nation grapples with this tragedy, his visit provided reassurance amid growing public concern.
