Mumbai, June 13 (NationPress) Actress Kangana Ranaut found herself contemplating the unpredictability of life following the shocking news of Sunjay Kapoor, former husband of Karisma Kapoor, passing away unexpectedly. Reports suggest that a bee entered the businessman’s mouth during a polo match, obstructing his windpipe and ultimately resulting in a fatal heart attack.
Feeling the weight of this tragic news, Kangana took to her Instagram stories to share her thoughts, stating, "In yet another unbelievable incident, Sunjay Kapoor (ex-husband of Karisma Kapoor) was on the polo ground when a bee flew into his mouth (yes, a bee on the polo ground), stung him, and blocked his windpipe. He struggled for breath and requested the game to be halted, but tragically, he succumbed to a cardiac arrest instantly."
The year 2025 is already filled with unforeseen events, including the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor, the Bengaluru Stampede, and the recent Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed the lives of 241 individuals onboard.
Like many others, the actress has also reached a point of resignation regarding these bizarre occurrences. "Such tragic news. I am also done trying to make sense of all the strange events that 2025 is throwing at us. Let’s all stay safe and keep praying to God," Kangana concluded her post.
Businessman, author, and actor Suhel Seth, who was a close friend of Sunjay, shared the heartbreaking news on social media on Thursday.
He expressed his sorrow on his X handle (formerly Twitter): "Deeply saddened by the loss of @sunjaykapur; he passed away earlier today in England. A terrible loss and my deepest condolences to his family and colleagues @sonacomstar ... Om Shanti."
Karisma married Sunjay on September 29, 2003, in a Sikh ceremony, but they filed for divorce mutually in 2014, which was finalized in 2016.
In 2016, Karisma also lodged a domestic violence case against Sunjay and his mother.
The couple has two children—a daughter named Samaira and a son named Kiaan.
