Mumbai, Oct 28 (NationPress) Singer-songwriter King, renowned for his viral tracks such as ‘Maan Meri Jaan’, ‘Tu Jaana Na Piya’, and ‘Tu Aake Dekhle’, has opened up about the journey from creating music to witnessing it evolve into a cult classic over time.

During a conversation with IANS while promoting his new streaming music reality show ‘I-popstar’, where he is one of the mentors, he shared insights on his creative process.

Discussing how he maintains his passion while awaiting a song's success, he stated, “It’s an open space. For instance, take my song Tu Aake Dekhi Leki. I released it in September around 2021. After 7-8 months, it took off. At that moment, I had no idea what would unfold later. I continued to work on my music as per my routine. The navigation is about focusing on your craft; a song finds its place and chooses its moment.”

He elaborated, “Indeed, artists should approach their work intelligently. Every artist is aware of their creation but unaware of its future. This is the essence of honesty. I recently released a project titled ‘Shayad Koi Na Sune’. If those songs had been launched differently, they might have fared better. My goal was to name the EP ‘Shayad Koi Na Sune’, and it unfolded accordingly. When you listen, the songs feel intimate, leaving you to wonder why they aren’t more popular. Such things can occur when different elements are presented in various contexts.”

“This exemplifies that even the finest work can struggle to resonate if not showcased properly. The lifespan of those songs is two decades; I can assure you that I can perform them well into my old age,” he added.

‘I-popstar’ is available for streaming on Amazon MX Player.
