Belagavi, April 16 (NationPress) Following the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) submission of a charge sheet against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, Karnataka BJP president and MLA B. Y. Vijayendra emphasized that they must be held accountable for their actions.

In a media briefing in Belagavi, he remarked that the ED is undertaking a thorough investigation into the matter, identifying Sonia Gandhi as the primary accused and Rahul Gandhi as the secondary.

"They must bear the repercussions of their actions. No one is above the law, and they will have to confront this reality," Vijayendra asserted.

He noted that the Congress government and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are unnerved by the effects of the Janakrosh yatra.

"We are persistently revealing the detrimental policies of the Congress government to the public. Due to rising prices and excessive governance costs, citizens are suffering, frustrated, and angry," Vijayendra stated.

When asked about the situation, he responded, "The notion that guarantees have led to state prosperity is a delusion held by the CM. When our MLAs approach Siddaramaiah for funds, he responds, 'We have already provided guarantees.'"

"Since Siddaramaiah's administration took office, diesel prices have surged by Rs 5.50 and petrol by Rs 3. What has this so-called people-friendly government done to mitigate it? Milk prices have also risen by Rs 9. Is that a decision that supports the poor?" he questioned.

"If there is any state government and Chief Minister in the nation who have rapidly lost their popularity in just 20 months, it is this Congress government and Siddaramaiah in our state," he claimed.

In response, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge countered the BJP's statements, querying how the party manages to receive substantial donations.

"How is the RSS constructing 600 district headquarters? Let an audit occur. Will they permit it? This has been ongoing for 10 years. Whenever the BJP faces a crisis, they drag in Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Robert Vadra. They attempt to intimidate us, but we are not easily intimidated by it."
