Patna, June 20 (NationPress) Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended his sincere thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating and laying the foundation for significant infrastructure and development projects in the state on Friday.
Speaking to a large audience at the event, Kumar expressed, “It brings me immense joy that the Prime Minister has visited Siwan. I extend a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to him.”
He outlined the projects being introduced, which encompass 22 urban development initiatives, six road projects, a rail project, and the launch of two new trains, including the Vande Bharat Express, along with the first export of a locomotive from Bihar's Madhura rail factory.
Kumar stressed that these initiatives are set to bring substantial benefits to Bihar.
In a pointed comment directed towards the RJD, Nitish Kumar noted: “There’s a lot of ‘nonsense’ being discussed today. It’s all meaningless. They should reflect on what Bihar was like prior to our administration. There was a time when people couldn't even step outside their homes. Now look, so many individuals, including women and youth, have gathered here to hear the Prime Minister speak.”
He reiterated the enduring collaboration between JDU and BJP, recalling that since November 24, 2005, the NDA alliance has been steadfast in its commitment to Bihar’s growth.
Nitish highlighted the accomplishments of the state government in the areas of education, health, and particularly women's empowerment.
“We have provided 50 percent reservation for women. We built bridges, ensured tap water and electricity under Saat Nischay (Seven Resolves), and constructed toilets in every household. New houses and settlements are also equipped with essential facilities,” Kumar stated.
He further elaborated on employment initiatives: “Thousands of youth, both men and women, have been given government jobs. I have personally overseen development projects across the state and approved 430 new schemes. Work has already commenced in Siwan, Gopalganj, and Saran.
This rally marked PM Modi’s fifth visit to Bihar in 2025, as the state approaches assembly elections later this year.
