Chhatarpur, Aug 4 (NationPress) A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against a professor from Lucknow University for allegedly offending religious feelings by making disparaging remarks about Dhirendra Shastri, a spiritual figure associated with Bageshwar Dham. The professor was accused of claiming that Shastri was involved in "women trafficking," prompting the complaint to be filed at the Bamitha police station in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, by a member of the Bageshwar Dham Committee.
The situation escalated when a controversial video circulated online, portraying Chhatarpur police halting an ambulance with multiple women aboard. During inquiries, it was reported that these women were allegedly linked to Bageshwar Dham while concealing their identities, although this remains unverified.
In response, Professor Ravi Kant shared the viral footage on social media, stating: "The non-biological Prime Minister Narendra Modi's declared younger brother Dhirendra Shastri is perpetrating women trafficking under the pretense of religion! A comprehensive investigation is essential, and if proven guilty, Dhirendra should face severe consequences."
This remark ignited backlash among Shastri's followers, leading Dhirendra Kumar Gaur, a committee member, to file an official complaint.
Gaur asserted that the professor's statements not only slandered Shastri but also offended the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus.
The FIR has been recorded under applicable sections concerning the offense of hurting religious sentiments and defamation. The investigation is currently underway.
In light of these developments, Dhirendra Shastri commented, "Certain individuals are relentlessly scheming to tarnish the Dham's reputation. We are combating the most significant ailment in this nation—casteism—and striving to unite Hindus and Sanatanis. When one walks the path of truth and service, such allegations are inevitable."
Shastri further declared, "The Bageshwar Jan Seva Samiti has filed an FIR. As long as I draw breath, I will continue to serve Hindus and Hindustan. This is our mission."
He also mentioned the forthcoming Padyatra taking place from November 7 to 16, stating, "Some individuals are already expressing discomfort at the thought of it. However, we will remain steadfast in our mission. I reiterate— we Sanatanis will never act in a manner that brings humiliation to Hindus. Whatever challenges we face, we will triumph through solidarity."
