Co-written and co-produced by Bhandarkar, 'Traffic Signal' features Kunal Khemmu, Neetu Chandra, Ranvir Shorey, and Konkona Sen Sharma in principal roles, alongside Vinay Apte, Upendra Limaye, Sudhir Mishra, Gopal K Singh, Kapil Rajput, Madhu Sharma, D. Santosh, Manoj Joshi, Sandeep Kulkarni, and Naseer Abdullah as supporting cast members.
Mahesh Limaye handled the cinematography, while Devendra Murdeshwar managed the editing for the film.
Produced by Madhur Bhandarkar Motion Pictures and Percept Picture Company, the soundtrack was composed by Shamir Tandon.
'Traffic Signal' centers around Silsila (played by Kunal Khemmu), the traffic signal manager who collects weekly protection fees from various vendors and squatters.
Bhandarkar also won the National Film Award for 'Best Direction' for this film.
