Key Takeaways
Bhopal/Sidhi, Jan 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, has pledged financial support to Anamika Baiga, a tribal student from Sidhi district, enabling her to chase her aspiration of becoming a doctor.
This commitment was made after Yadav discovered that Anamika, who is gearing up for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), was in need of financial aid for her coaching and living expenses, as she prepares to take the exam.
In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Chief Minister Yadav remarked that Anamika had approached him for educational assistance. “Upon gathering the relevant details, we learned that she is getting ready for the NEET and needs help with coaching and hostel costs. Orders have been given to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made for her. The state government will offer every possible aid once she gains admission to a medical college,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also expressed his faith in Anamika's potential. “I am entirely confident that Anamika will succeed in becoming a doctor and will elevate the prestige of Madhya Pradesh,” he added.
Previously, on Friday, Anamika tried to meet Chief Minister Yadav during a public event in Sidhi district to express her concerns but was prevented from doing so by police officers. She was observed pleading with her hands clasped and in tears, seeking permission to meet the Chief Minister.
Afterward, Anamika shared with the media her dream of becoming a doctor, noting that her parents, who are daily wage workers, could not afford the expenses. She claimed that despite reaching out to the Sidhi district collector and local MLA Kunar Singh Tekam for assistance on two occasions, her requests went unanswered, leading her to seek an audience with the Chief Minister.
It is worth mentioning that during his visit to the Sihawal Assembly constituency in Sidhi district on Friday, Chief Minister Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 209 development projects totaling Rs 201.64 crore.
