Indore, March 29 (NationPress) On Sunday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav officially launched the newly renovated Terminal-1 at the Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Indore, introducing an advanced facility that aims to serve the residents of the city and the broader Malwa region.
The refurbishment of the terminal, which cost approximately Rs 50 crore, is anticipated to significantly improve passenger services and enhance the airport's capacity for handling annual traffic.
During his speech, the Chief Minister outlined the government's ambitious strategy to establish an airport every 150 km, an airstrip every 75 km, and a helipad every 45 km throughout the state.

Regarding the upgrades at Indore airport, Dr. Yadav mentioned that passenger services are being continuously enhanced to ensure a more seamless and comfortable air travel experience. The new Terminal-1 is expected to bolster Indore's status on the national and international aviation landscape.
Additionally, he presented the Quality Certificate of Registration to Indore airport from the American Quality Council and commended the airport officials for achieving this recognition.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu participated in the inauguration ceremony via a virtual platform.
Indore Lok Sabha MP Shankar Lalwani also addressed the audience. The event commenced with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav lighting the traditional lamp.
Numerous public officials, such as Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, former ministers Mahendra Hardia and Usha Thakur, MLA Malini Gaur, and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, along with a large number of citizens, attended the event.
CM Yadav stressed that the expansion of road, rail, and aviation infrastructure, along with a significant package from the Central Government aimed at expressways, is transforming Madhya Pradesh into the nation's logistics hub.
