Bhopal, Feb 14 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh has executed a transfer order impacting 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, resulting in a significant restructuring of administrative functions across essential departments and districts, officials stated on Saturday.
The General Administration Department released this order at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, outlining the new postings and responsibilities assigned to officers from various batches, specifically from 1991 to 2019.
Ashok Varnwal, a 1991 batch officer previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary in the Forest Department with multiple additional roles, will now hold the position of Additional Chief Secretary in both the Public Health and Medical Education Department and the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
He will also continue to serve as Agriculture Production Commissioner and maintain his responsibilities in the Environment Department, while additionally taking on the role of Food Safety Commissioner.
Sandeep Yadav, from the 2000 batch, has transitioned from the Public Health and Medical Education Department to the Forest Department. He will also oversee the Pravasi Bharatiya Department as an additional charge.
Ajay Gupta, a 2009 batch officer who was Director of Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development, has been appointed as Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited in Jabalpur and will also serve as Secretary in the state government.
Manish Singh, another officer from the 2009 batch, has been moved from his role as Secretary in the Jail and Transport Departments, along with various additional responsibilities, to become Commissioner of Public Relations in Bhopal.
