Mumbai, Jan 20 (NationPress) In a significant development for the beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, the Women and Child Development Minister of Maharashtra, Aditi Tatkare, declared on Tuesday that the deadline for the essential e-KYC process has been extended.
The state administration has chosen to extend the deadline for completing e-KYC past December 31, 2025, offering crucial relief to numerous women who encountered various technical challenges. The earlier deadline of November 18, 2025 has now been moved to December 31, 2025.
Minister Tatkare acknowledged that many qualified women in distant and rural regions struggled to fulfill the process due to issues such as OTP (One-Time Password) failures, server outages, and other technical difficulties on the official website. The government has also provided a 'final chance' for women who made mistakes during their initial e-KYC submissions to correct their details.
“To empower women economically in Maharashtra and enhance their health and nutrition, the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is being executed. To ensure effective implementation, all beneficiaries are granted time until December 31, 2025 to complete e-KYC. However, it has come to our attention that some applicants selected incorrect options during the e-KYC process. Therefore, instructions have been issued to all District Collectors in the state to conduct physical verifications of these beneficiaries at the local level through Anganwadi workers,” stated Minister Tatkare.
Even with the extension, the Minister emphasized that e-KYC remains obligatory to guarantee transparency and to ensure that the financial support of Rs 1,500 reaches only those eligible.
Minister Tatkare also mentioned that specific categories, including widows, divorcees, and women whose spouses or fathers have passed away, must not only complete the online e-KYC but also present relevant supporting documents to their respective District Women and Child Development Officers to receive uninterrupted benefits.
In a statement to the media, Aditi Tatkare remarked, 'This scheme is a revolution for women's empowerment. Following directives from the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers, we have extended the date to ensure that no eligible sister is deprived of benefits due to natural disasters or technical challenges.'
The Minister urged all remaining beneficiaries to visit the official website (ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in) and complete their Aadhaar-linked e-KYC promptly to avoid delays in future payments.
