Mumbai, February 24 (NationPress) - On Tuesday, Maharashtra BJP State President Ravindra Chavan unveiled the party's newly appointed state-level office-bearers, a significant move aimed at reinforcing the organization as it prepares for the 2029 Assembly elections.
This announcement includes pivotal roles such as Chief Spokesperson, General Secretaries, Secretaries, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, and leads for the Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, and OBC Morcha.
In his address to the media, Chavan noted that these appointments were made after thorough discussions with the party’s central leadership, which includes National President Nitin Nabin, Amit Shah, B.L. Santhosh, and Shiv Prakash, along with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other notable state leaders.
Chavan mentioned that while the intention was to expedite these appointments, they were postponed owing to the enforcement of the election code of conduct and subsequent local self-government elections.
Discussing the internal selection process, he emphasized, "Although numerous workers have dedicated years of service to the party, the availability of state-level positions is restricted. Every BJP worker and office-bearer possesses potential. Despite having many deserving candidates, there are constraints on the number of roles. Those who were not appointed this time will be considered for alternative positions within the party and its various factions."
The newly elected Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporator from Mankhurd ward, former TV journalist Navnath Ban, has been appointed as the chief spokesperson. The vice president roster features Atul Kalsekar, Bharati Pawar, Sanjay Korge, Sanjay Bhende, Ramdas Kadas, Keshav Upadhye, Gopichand Padalkar, Priya Shinde, Sujay Vikhe Patil, and Archana Patil Chakurkar.

The list of secretaries comprises Mangesh Chavan, Parinay Phuke, Varsha Dahale, Sanjay Jagtap, Archana Dehankar, Rohini Naidu, Ram Satpute, Pravin Ghuge, Rekha Kulkarni, and Bhairavi Ghag.

This reshuffle of office-bearers follows the BJP’s impressive performance in the recent elections for the nagar panchayat, nagar parishad, municipal corporation, zilla parishads, and panchayat samitis. The party is undertaking a significant effort to solidify its organization with the ambitious goal of achieving a 100 percent win rate in the 2029 Assembly elections, targeting over 150 seats independently.
