BJP in Bihar Set for Significant Organizational Revamp Before Assembly Elections

Patna, Dec 2 (NationPress) The BJP in Bihar is gearing up for a significant organizational revamp as it approaches the 2025 Assembly elections.

This reshuffling is designed to bolster the party's grassroots framework and equip it for the electoral hurdles in this politically pivotal state.

Voting for party officials will occur at multiple levels, such as booth, divisional, and district levels. This process is projected to conclude by the end of December 2024, resulting in a thoroughly revamped party structure.

Dilip Jaiswal, the deputy chief whip of the BJP, has indicated that a new state committee will be formed shortly after Makar Sankranti in mid-January 2025.

Jaiswal reiterated the party's dedication to an actionable plan that tackles electoral challenges.

“The reshuffle is intended to invigorate the cadre and guarantee strong leadership at every tier to counter opposition coalitions and rally support. The establishment of the committee is anticipated shortly after Makar Sankranti,” Jaiswal stated.

The BJP is up against fierce competition in Bihar, particularly from the RJD and other partners within the INDIA Bloc. The party's triumph will hinge on the efficiency of its reorganized structure and its capacity to counter the united front of the opposition.

Rajesh Verma, Jagannath Thakur, and Lalan Mandal have been reassigned to positions in the BJP's 20-point program. Lalan Mandal now holds the position of vice president in this initiative, while Verma and Thakur serve as members.

The State Vice-President Sheela Prajapati has been appointed to the Child Protection Commission, further broadening leadership responsibilities within the party.

Two state general secretaries, Mithilesh Tiwari and Shivesh Ram, who contested and were unsuccessful in the Lok Sabha elections from Buxar and Sasaram respectively, are also expected to undergo changes in their organizational roles.
