Patna, April 26 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, announced on Saturday that his party, RJD, plans to conduct conferences in each of the 243 Assembly constituencies in Bihar to fortify the party's organization.
“Our gathering was aimed not only at strategizing for the elections. We will be conducting conferences in all 243 Assembly constituencies to bolster the party's organizational framework at the grassroots level. Party members will travel from village to village, establishing direct connections with the public through these conferences. There will be a strong focus on enhancing the engagement of our party workers at the village level,” stated the Bihar LoP following a high-level meeting at the party's state office in Patna.
He also mentioned that the party's agenda would concentrate on disseminating the message of social justice to every household.
“Our goal is to ensure direct interaction with the populace and effectively communicate the RJD's ideology and policies. This approach is vital for solidifying the party's foundation in the current electoral climate,” Yadav emphasized.
The ongoing preparations are not solely for the RJD but form part of a larger strategy developed collaboratively by the INDIA Bloc.
The INDIA Bloc comprises six political entities: RJD, Congress, CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML), and Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).
During a significant meeting held on April 25, several key decisions were made, including the establishment of a 21-member Coordination Committee to manage election preparations and broader alliance initiatives.
Tejashwi Yadav has been designated as the Chairman of this committee. It includes five members from RJD, four from Congress, and three members each from CPI(M), CPI, CPI(ML), and VIP.
The RJD representatives in the coordination committee include prominent leaders such as Tejashwi Yadav, National General Secretary Abdulbari Siddiqui, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, Former Minister Alok Mehta, and State General Secretary Ranvijay Sahu.
Post-meeting, RJD MP Manoj Jha highlighted that the discussions exceeded mere electoral strategies.
Manoj Jha stated: “We aspire to engage in politics centered on employment, justice, and fraternity — not merely for the sake of power. Our aim is to advocate for social inclusion and justice for marginalized communities. We must distance ourselves from the politics of empty promises and strive for sustainable development.”
