How Will BJP’s Nationalism Reach the Common Man? Ravindra Chavan Speaks

Mumbai, July 1 (NationPress) The newly appointed president of Maharashtra BJP, Ravindra Chavan, expressed his commitment on Tuesday to propagate the party's nationalist principles and the welfare initiatives of the Modi government throughout the state by engaging with the grassroots alongside party workers.

In his address following the announcement of his unopposed election during the state executive council meeting, Chavan stated, “The Bharatiya Janata Party is my identity because it has shaped who I am. I am prepared to do whatever is necessary for the party.”

Chavan, who succeeds the outgoing state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, remarked that it is indeed significant for someone from a modest background like himself to be entrusted with the leadership of such a major party as the BJP.

“Such opportunities are unique to the Bharatiya Janata Party. I am thankful to the party for granting me this responsibility,” he added.

“The BJP’s ideology is untainted. Despite our tireless efforts for the nation, misinformation about the Modi government persists. To counter this, we must communicate the achievements of the Modi administration, as well as the MahaYuti government in the state, directly to the people. With the 2029 elections approaching, we need to commence preparations immediately. Every worker must commit to strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state during this upcoming period,” he asserted.

Outgoing state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule reflected, “When I was assigned the role of state president three years ago, I questioned my ability to meet the demands of the position. However, with the backing of Devendra Fadnavis and the party workers, I endeavored to fulfill this duty. We achieved a milestone by registering one and a half crore members through collective efforts. Although our performance in the Lok Sabha elections fell short of expectations, we secured the highest number of seats in the assembly elections under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis.

He emphasized that the party must aim to elect the maximum number of Mayors, Zilla Parishad Presidents, and Municipality Presidents by acquiring 51% of the votes under Chavan's leadership.

“It is essential for the workers to convey the public-benefit initiatives of the Devendra Fadnavis government to the masses,” he added.

He expressed gratitude to all regional general secretaries, office bearers, and workers statewide on this occasion.

Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar commended Chandrashekhar Bawankule for reinforcing the party during his tenure and steering it toward success.

“Ravindra Chavan will exert every effort in the upcoming elections and demonstrate to all adversaries their rightful place,” he concluded.
