Mumbai, May 19 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has instructed the state administration to develop a detailed roadmap for the upcoming housing policy and present it to the Cabinet.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is committed to achieving housing for all through this new policy, which aims to be all-encompassing and will cater to various segments of society, including senior citizens, working women, students, and industrial workers. His remarks were made during a meeting dedicated to discussing the housing initiative.
“In light of the rapid urbanization and the growing demand for housing, this policy intends to ensure that safe and affordable accommodation is accessible to all members of society,” stated the Chief Minister.
In a related development, Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik urged the administration to maintain uniformity in the online transfer processes within the department.
“Many officers appreciate the online transfers in the transport department as these provide them with the desired preferences alongside transparency. Thus, moving forward, we must enhance consistency in these transfers and prioritize the challenges faced by women officers,” he noted.
On Monday, online transfers for 159 Inspectors of Motor Vehicles (IMV) were conducted in the presence of Minister Sarnaik.
He further mentioned that while executing online transfers, the concerns of officers and employees, particularly those of women, should be addressed as a priority.
“In the future, if officers are allowed five preference ranks instead of three, online transfers will assist more officers in securing their preferred placements,” he remarked.
Minister Sarnaik instructed that the online transfer process should be improved for the next year.
