Mumbai, June 18 (NationPress) The government of Maharashtra has called upon its citizens to contribute their thoughts during a survey aimed at crafting a document for Viksit Maharashtra 2047. Interested individuals can participate by scanning the provided QR code.
The administration has emphasized that this survey will not collect any personal data from participants. The Planning Department encourages everyone to share their insights through the link https://wa.link/o93s9m.
“In celebration of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the Government of India has committed to transforming India into a Viksit Bharat by 2047. The vision for the state is to achieve a $1 trillion economy by 2029 and a $5 trillion economy by 2047. To meet these ambitious goals and ensure that all sectors contribute to the state's economic growth, the government is unveiling the vision for Viksit Maharashtra 2047,” the official statement read.
As per the announcement, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has initiated a 150-day program from May 6, 2025, to October 2, 2025, dedicated to developing this vision document.
“All departments are tasked with establishing long-term, medium-term, and short-term goals as part of this vision document preparation. Sector-specific groups are being formed around 16 key areas, including agriculture, education, health, rural and urban development, land and water resources, infrastructure, finance, industry, services, social development, security, soft power, technology, human development, and human resource management. Each group will devise a plan focusing on progressive, sustainable, inclusive, and effective governance,” the statement further explained.
Consultations will involve experts from each sector as well as both governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Recently, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the state government has developed a detailed strategy to reach the Viksit Maharashtra 2047 objective, asserting that the policies and reforms underway will propel Maharashtra to a $1 trillion economy by 2030 and a $5 trillion economy by 2047.
He elaborated that the government is prioritizing good governance by addressing administrative shortcomings within a hundred days. The initiative aims to enhance accountability and transparency while also improving the ease of doing business and making governance more people-centric.
