Kolkata, April 12 (NationPress) The leader of the Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, declared a new 'resolution' on Sunday aimed at ousting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power at the Centre following the forthcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal.

During her address at an election rally in Bankura district's Onda, Chief Minister Banerjee expressed, "We (Trinamool Congress) will triumph in Bengal and displace the BJP government from Delhi. This is our commitment. With the Bengali New Year approaching, on the first day of Baishakh, we will make a pledge to say goodbye to the BJP."

She also highlighted the accomplishments of the Trinamool Congress government.

"We (Trinamool Congress) have constructed 1 crore 30 lakh pucca homes. Our current commitment is to ensure all existing raw houses are transformed into pucca structures, so everyone has a place to live. Every household will have access to water taps. Regardless of how much they (BJP) campaign and deceive, our achievements are visible to the public," she stated.

Furthermore, the Trinamool Congress leader criticized the BJP for failing to fulfill its electoral promises.

"We stand by our commitments. Meanwhile, they (BJP) deceive. They traverse the country during election season, promising monetary aid. Yet after the results are announced, they vanish," Banerjee remarked.

The Chief Minister continued, "Before the elections in Delhi, they promised to provide Rs 3,000 to every woman. Not a single rupee has been disbursed. They are misleading in Bihar. They deceive women with false promises. They claimed they would deposit Rs 8,000 into bank accounts. They made these promises before the elections, only to bulldoze their way through after. They have devastated the nation. Many went to Bihar seeking fame. Now, they realize. Women are demanding the money they were promised."

Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited West Bengal for campaigning and issued a 'charge sheet' against the Trinamool Congress government.

In response, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took a jibe at the BJP's 'charge sheet' during her meeting in Onda.

She quipped, "They (BJP) are once again issuing a charge sheet against Trinamool. Our charge sheet is aimed at you. You have tormented the nation. You have undermined the Constitution of the country. You've inflicted suffering on mothers, brothers, and sisters."

Point of View

Mamata Banerjee's recent statements reflect a determined push against the BJP. Her focus on achievements and accountability resonates with constituents, while her critique of the BJP highlights a broader narrative of political responsibility.
