Kolkata, April 13 (NationPress) West Bengal's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, on Monday took a stand against the political approach of her counterpart in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, asserting her disbelief in the so-called 'bulldozer politics'.
While addressing an election rally in Suri, located in Birbhum district, Banerjee, without directly naming Adityanath, remarked, "Recently, someone claimed that bulldozers would be deployed here as they are in Uttar Pradesh. What is the implication of that? I do not subscribe to bulldozer politics; I stand by the principle of love."
Her statements followed a day after Adityanath suggested that a 'Uttar Pradesh model' was necessary to curb the alleged hooliganism and mafia rule of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
Additionally, Banerjee alleged that the Election Commission (EC) took four hours to process her nomination, claiming, "They harassed me for four hours over my nomination scrutiny. Do you think I will overlook this? Even if they do, I will not. I will ensure this is addressed."
She expressed her belief that 19 states, along with the central government, were conspiring against her while she fights independently for the common people.
