Did Mithila Palkar Really Not Plan Her Career Path?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Jan 26 (NationPress) Actress-singer Mithila Palkar, celebrated for her roles in ‘Little Things’, ‘Karwaan’, and ‘Chopsticks’, has revealed that she has not followed a strict roadmap in her professional trajectory.
Mithila first gained recognition as a singer online, subsequently making her mark in OTT acting before transitioning to theater.
When questioned about her deliberate artistic choices, she shared with IANS, “I have consistently stated that I embraced the flow of my professional journey. Becoming an actor was something I seized enthusiastically. I had no idea how significant the Internet would become. Ten years ago, we were all at the onset of the online revolution, which was just beginning to establish itself as a legitimate source of entertainment. Back then, traditional media like TV, theater, and films were dominant. We had no idea how impactful the Internet would turn out to be. I was open to experimenting with any opportunity that allowed me to act and provided me with the creative fulfillment I sought.”
She continued, “I auditioned for everything that came my way. The way my life has unfolded is something I could never have planned better. I’m thankful I didn’t impose a rigid plan on myself, as it allowed me the freedom to go with the flow. I landed opportunities with Filter Copy, which brought me ‘News Darshan’, a new satire comedy show, leading to collaborations with Dhruv on two comedy sketches. Then came ‘Little Things’ and ‘Girl in the City’. Everything seemed to build upon what came before. If I had tried to plan it, I doubt I could have orchestrated it this effectively.”
“I must acknowledge the fortune of encountering the right individuals at pivotal moments. The people I interacted with eight years ago might not be in my life now, but they played a crucial role in my journey. I will always remember their contributions that pushed me forward. I’ve had mentors during various stages of my life who stood by me and encouraged me, saying, ‘If you don’t want to do it, then don’t.’ Even if our paths diverged after a specific project, their support has left a lasting impact. I’m truly grateful for having met the right people at the right time who guided me,” she added.
