Mumbai, Dec 16 (NationPress) Actor Karan Tacker recently shared his thoughts on moving from television fame to success in the OTT realm. In a candid interview with IANS, he discussed his entry into the digital landscape. “I had a wonderful journey on television as an actor, and I truly cherished every moment of it,” Karan expressed.
“I hold immense gratitude for the medium as it provided me with a vast audience. Television delivers instant recognition and affection; you immediately sense if your show is resonating or if your character is being well-received,” he remarked.
During his conversation with IANS, Karan elaborated on his decision to delve into the OTT space while at the height of his television career. “Walking away from TV when I was at my peak was a calculated decision. I believed that, even if I stumbled in a new arena, people would still remember me for my past achievements, making a return to television feasible. At that time, the only platforms available were TV and films; OTT was not an option yet,” he explained.
Karan further disclosed, “It took me seven years after leaving television to make my acting comeback because I vowed that if I acted again, it would be in projects that I truly desired, endeavors that would enhance my career. Otherwise, I occupied myself with hosting and other engagements.”
When discussing success and failure, Karan added, “The results of our efforts are never entirely in our control. All we can do is give our utmost to the projects we undertake, whether they come through offers or auditions.”
For those unaware, Karan garnered affection as Viren in the popular TV series Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai a decade ago.
