A senior representative from the Mizoram Tourism Department disclosed that the state experienced a total of 679,607 tourists from April to December 2025, comprising 670,001 domestic individuals and 9,606 international travelers. This surge has exceeded the previous year's total tourist figures by 29.50 percent, indicating a significant boost in tourism during this timeframe.

Additionally, the Tourism Department received the Emerging Eco and Nature Retreat Award during the 10th International Tourism Conclave and Travel Awards held in New Delhi in July 2025.

The inaugural Mizoram Travel Fest, which took place from October 8-10, 2025, in Aizawl, featured a cooking contest, B2B meetings, an investors’ summit, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Tourism Department and the Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change aimed at enhancing eco-tourism in the area.
