New Delhi, Oct 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the late Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on his death anniversary this Wednesday, reflecting on his significant contributions to public service and nation-building.
Born on July 5, 1946, in Khagaria, Bihar, Paswan was the president of the Lok Janshakti Party and had the distinction of serving as a member in both Houses, being elected nine times to Lok Sabha and twice to Rajya Sabha.
He held the position of Cabinet Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution during the initial two terms of the Modi administration.
In a message posted on X, PM Modi expressed, "My heartfelt tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan ji, the beloved leader of Bihar and former Union Minister, who stands as a symbol of social justice and was deeply committed to public service.
