Khattar's Political and Governance Journey

Manohar Lal Khattar, currently serving as Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, was born on 5 May 1954 in Nindana village, Rohtak district, Haryana. He joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1977 and served with the organisation for 17 years before associating with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1994.

After winning from the Karnal Assembly constituency in 2014, Khattar became the first BJP Chief Minister of Haryana — a milestone in the party's political expansion in the state. He has since transitioned to the Union Cabinet, where his portfolio spans urban development and energy infrastructure.
