Patna, Oct 26 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 127th episode of the 'Mann Ki Baat' program, warmly greeted the citizens on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, referring to this festival as a vibrant illustration of inclusivity.

He stated, “Chhath Mahaparv embodies the profound connection between culture, nature, and society. People from all walks of life unite at the Chhath ghats, showcasing the beauty of India’s social harmony.” He praised the rich traditions and heartfelt devotion that characterize this four-day festival.

The Prime Minister's greetings uplifted the spirits of ‘Chhath Vratis’ and countless devotees celebrating this festival with great piety alongside their families, especially in Bihar and nearby regions.

Many individuals, particularly from Bihar, expressed their appreciation to PM Modi for highlighting Chhath Parv, stating that it has infused excitement into their celebrations.

Manmeet Akela from Hazaribagh mentioned that preparations for Chhath are in full swing in many households, with people shopping for fruits and utensils on the second day, known as Kharna.

“PM Modi's mention of Chhath Puja during his Mann Ki Baat will elevate its status. A festival once recognized mainly in Bihar and Jharkhand is now likely to gain wider attention and appreciation,” she stated.

Anoop Chandravanshi added that Chhath has always symbolized unity and inclusiveness.

“Yesterday, PM Modi congratulated the nation on this occasion, and today he reiterated this in his Mann Ki Baat address. This will surely boost the festival's prominence,” he remarked.

Vishwanath Soni shared his family's long-standing tradition of listening to Mann Ki Baat.

“We are grateful to the Prime Minister for his congratulatory words. In this episode, he highlighted various significant points. Following his call for Swadeshi, the nation celebrated Diwali with local products. This illustrates his influence. Thanks to his efforts, Chhath is poised to become a globally recognized festival,” he expressed.
