Bhopal, Dec 8 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed the MSME department of Madhya Pradesh to enhance the promotion of the developed industrial zones in the Indore and Bhopal metropolitan areas, aiming for the establishment of the highest number of industrial units.
He emphasized that a significant event for the foundation laying, industrial plot distribution, and inauguration of units worth approximately Rs 2 lakh crore should be held in Gwalior by the end of this month.
These instructions were provided during a review of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department's activities over the past two years in Khajuraho.
Chief Minister Yadav mentioned that Madhya Pradesh has recorded a remarkable growth of up to 31 percent in the MSME and start-up sectors in the last two years. He noted that MSME units have received an incentive totaling Rs 2,780 crore.
During this period, several lakh crore worth of investments have flowed into the state, leading to the foundation laying and inauguration of new industrial units.
"It is the duty of the MSME department to ensure on-site inspections of these achievements for public representatives from both ruling and opposition parties, as well as the media," stated CM Yadav.
In the review meeting, discussions covered the expansion of the MSME and start-up ecosystem, the progression of industrial infrastructure, and future strategic plans.
According to CM Yadav, investments totaling Rs 39,600 crore have been secured in the manufacturing sector. The MSME department has carried out significant policy reforms in the last two years.
It was revealed during the meeting that a total of 1,240 plots have been allocated to industrialists. Out of these, 13 industrial areas have been completed, and approvals have been granted for 14 new industrial areas.
