Bhopal, Nov 25 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is set to conduct special meetings to evaluate his government's performance, which is on the verge of completing two years next month.
This update was shared with the Council of Ministers before the weekly Cabinet session on Tuesday, as noted by senior BJP leader and state Urban and Housing Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayavargiya.
According to the minister, these special review meetings are scheduled to occur from December 1 to 5.
The Winter Session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is also set to commence on December 1.
Senior officials from all departments have been instructed to compile a list of accomplishments achieved over the past two years.
Following the review of the two-year progress, a strategic roadmap will be formulated for the state's advancement over the next two years.
The subsequent (special) Cabinet meeting is planned to take place in Khajuraho, as stated by Vijayvargiya.
"Chief Minister Mohan Yadav indicated that the upcoming Cabinet meeting will occur in Khajuraho, where the Council of Ministers will deliberate on the roadmap for Madhya Pradesh's future development," the Minister explained while providing details about the Cabinet's resolutions.
Sources inform IANS that ministers overseeing various departments have also been requested to ensure their participation in the special review meetings.
Additionally, MLAs from the ruling BJP have been tasked with preparing a list of initiatives accomplished in their respective Assembly constituencies.
It is noteworthy that the BJP regained power, winning 163 out of 230 seats in the 2023 state Assembly elections, with Chief Minister Yadav assuming office on December 13.
Since 2003, the BJP has governed Madhya Pradesh, aside from a brief 18-month period of Congress leadership under Kamal Nath in 2018-19.
In the 2023 elections, the Congress managed to secure only 66 seats, a decline from their 114 seats in 2018.
