Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Khajuraho, Dec 8 (NationPress) In light of the anticipated Cabinet reshuffle following the government's two-year milestone, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and his team of ministers are convening for a two-day special meeting commencing today.
This special gathering is a segment of a week-long initiative aimed at evaluating the progress across various departments of the state government, as well as assessing the effectiveness of the ministers leading these departments. This review process began on December 2.
After conducting reviews of over a dozen departments during the recently concluded Winter Session of the state Assembly on December 5, CM Yadav will turn his focus to the remaining departments during the special meeting in Khajuraho.
Key departments set for review include Industrial Policy & Investment Promotion, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Revenue, Urban Development and Housing, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment, Tribal Affairs, Scheduled Caste Welfare, and the Mineral Resources departments.
Chief Minister Yadav has been meticulously evaluating each minister’s performance over the past two years to construct a strategic three-year governance framework for their respective departments.
The BJP government, led by Mohan Yadav, is marking its two-year anniversary on December 13.
Currently, there are four ministerial positions vacant in the 35-member cabinet, which comprises 15 percent of the 230-member Assembly, further fueling speculation regarding a reshuffle.
The last cabinet reshuffle took place in July, during which former Congress MLA Ram Niwas Rawat was appointed as a minister, but he resigned in November after losing a bypoll.
Following a series of review meetings, the Chief Minister will preside over a special Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, where significant decisions are expected to be made.
As part of the special occasion, the CM will transfer the December installment to the accounts of over 1.26 crore Ladli Behnas statewide, and will engage with the beneficiaries.
Additionally, Chief Minister Yadav will perform the 'bhoomi poojan' for nine mega projects valued at Rs 27,055 lakh and inaugurate over 20 completed projects worth Rs 24,010 lakh in the Chhatarpur district.
He will also unveil statues of Maharaja Chhatrasal and the 'Iron Man' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the district.
