Jabalpur, Jan 23 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, announced on Friday that the BJP-led state government is committed to offering complete assistance to the Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association located in Jabalpur for the operation of educational institutions.
This declaration was made during the centenary celebration of the Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association held in Jabalpur, famously known as the 'Sanskardhani' (Cultural City) of Madhya Pradesh.
While addressing a large audience from the Bengali community, Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the historic significance of the Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association and its vital role in upholding the cultural heritage of both West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
During his speech, he noted that this prominent library has been running a Girls Higher Secondary School in Jabalpur for an impressive 95 years.
"On this occasion, I propose that the City Library Club consider establishing colleges as well. The Madhya Pradesh government stands ready to provide all necessary support for this initiative," added CM Yadav.
The Siddhi Bala Bose Library Association was founded by Rai Bahadur Chandra Bose in 1925.
In his address, the Chief Minister acknowledged significant Bengali figures and their contributions to the nation, including Subhas Chandra Bose and Swami Vivekananda, while also recognizing the efforts of the City Library Club.
The event was graced by the presence of former BJP President and Union Health Minister, J.P. Nadda, along with Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, State Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh, and other local BJP leaders, including former MP Jayashree Banerjee.
Union Health Minister Nadda remarked that the 'Bengali community feels insecure in West Bengal'.
He further expressed concern, stating, "It is troubling that Bengalis, who have historically guided the nation, are feeling unsafe in West Bengal. We must initiate change in West Bengal now, and the upcoming state Assembly polls in April-May will provide the opportunity for this transformation."
