Mumbai, May 12 (NationPress) The renowned actor Nassar was deeply touched and ended up in tears after hearing the script of Tanvi the Great, the much-anticipated film helmed by Anupam Kher.
In a recent update, Kher disclosed that Nassar found the narrative to be so profoundly moving that he couldn't contain his emotions—underscoring the film's potential impact. On Monday, Anupam Kher unveiled the first-look poster featuring Nassar as Brig. Rao, accompanied by a heartfelt message commending the Baahubali star's remarkable acting career.
In the post's caption, the ‘Special 26’ actor expressed that he had envisioned Nassar exclusively in the role of Brig. Rao, a pivotal character in the film. What struck him the most was Nassar’s prompt agreement to participate in the project—without even hearing the complete script. Anupam remarked, “The cast of Tanvi The Great: Even though #NasserSir is younger than me, his legendary career compels me to use ‘SIR’ when referring to him. His trajectory and filmography are what every actor dreams of. From Thevar Magan, Bombay, Anne Sivam, Nayakan, to Bahubali… I could continue indefinitely. The list is truly endless, with 552 films and counting. Yet, it is the individual that elevates him to greatness. He is an exceptional actor who commands immense respect and generosity!” (sic)
“I sought only him for the role of Brig. Rao in Tanvi The Great! Without needing to know the specifics, he immediately accepted the role. It was only on our first day of shooting that I narrated the script and his character in detail. He had tears in his eyes, and I witnessed the character come to life on set. Thank you, Nasser Sir, for your immense kindness, generosity, and an OUTSTANDING performance. Your support for Shubhangi (Tanvi) during filming was invaluable. You embody Brig. Rao perfectly. Jai Hind,” he added.
Tanvi The Great boasts an impressive cast that includes Iain Glen, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swami, Pallavi Joshi, and newcomer Shubhangi in the lead role.
Directed by Anupam Kher and featuring music by Oscar-winning M.M. Keeravani, the film is produced by Kher Studios and NFDC, in partnership with Lower Middle Class Corporation. The official release date will be revealed soon.
