BJP Declares Noida Airport as a Major Milestone for Uttar Pradesh and NCR

New Delhi, March 18 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson R.P. Singh emphasized on Wednesday that the forthcoming Noida International Airport located in Jewar marks a significant milestone for both Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region (NCR).
Singh conveyed to IANS: “This airport will serve as a vital connectivity hub for all of North India.”
He further remarked, “In terms of safety, there have been no unfortunate events this time, showcasing the effective law and order management under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.”
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Adityanath addressed an event in Lucknow on Wednesday, stating that a formal request has been made to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Noida International Airport at Jewar on March 28.
He mentioned, “Currently, Uttar Pradesh is home to 16 domestic and four international airports. The fifth, which will be the largest international airport in India, is being developed at Jewar. We have invited Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate it on March 28.”
Adityanath added, “Consider the economic growth that will unfold in Uttar Pradesh once this airport is operational. The state is poised to generate an income of Rs 1 lakh crore with the airport's establishment.”
Notably, Adityanath was previously presented with the aerodrome license granted by the Government of India for the Noida International Airport (NIA).
The Noida International Airport, under construction in Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, is a significant greenfield project that will link the National Capital Region and western Uttar Pradesh to major cities within India and beyond.
The airport is being developed with state-of-the-art facilities that blend Swiss precision with Indian hospitality.
The airport's development will occur over four phases. The initial phase includes one runway and a passenger terminal with a capacity for around 12 million passengers annually. The second phase aims to expand this capacity to 30 million. Further expansions in the third and fourth phases are targeted to increase total capacity to 70 million passengers each year.
