New Delhi, May 21 (NationPress) Just hours after Pakistan issued unfounded claims regarding India's involvement in a bus explosion in Balochistan, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India criticized Islamabad for consistently blaming India for its domestic challenges.
In the unfortunate incident, five individuals, including three children and two adults, lost their lives, while approximately 38 others sustained injuries, many critically, due to a blast that targeted a bus carrying students from Army Public School (APS) in the Khuzdar region along the Karachi-Quetta Highway on Wednesday.
Responding to the media's inquiries concerning Pakistan's allegations, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated, “India firmly rejects the unfounded claims made by Pakistan about any involvement in the Khuzdar incident. We express our condolences for the loss of lives in such tragic events.”
He further remarked, “To distract from its image as the global epicenter of terrorism and conceal its significant failures, Pakistan has adopted the habit of blaming India for its internal problems. Such attempts to deceive the international community are bound to fail.”
The explosion, believed to be from a planted Improvised Explosive Device (IED), completely obliterated the bus, raising fears of further casualties.
Local authorities in Khuzdar have confirmed the attack and reported that the injured individuals have been transported to the Central Military Hospital (CMH) in Khuzdar for medical attention. The area has been cordoned off for evidence collection.
Instead of implementing immediate relief efforts or conducting a search operation to apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan quickly shifted focus to target India.
Analysts suggest that Pakistan, still reeling from significant defeats and decisive strikes from India during Operation Sindoor, is neglecting to prioritize the internal issues that plague its governance.
For decades, multiple international organizations have documented the selective yet brutal use of force by Pakistani authorities, which has severely impacted civilian populations in regions like Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh. Locals often face unlawful abductions and killings.
The ongoing conflicts in northwest Pakistan have displaced millions, as the people of Balochistan, among others, have been valiantly fighting against daily abuses and torture for many years.
