Multan, Jan 19 (NationPress) Sajid Khan and Abrar Ahmed dominated the game, taking a total of nine wickets for just 77 runs, enabling Pakistan to successfully defend a target of 251 runs and secure a 1-0 series lead against the West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Similar to their earlier innings collapse of 137/10 in 25.2 overs, the West Indies were dismissed for 123 runs in 36.3 overs during their second innings, falling 128 runs short of the target. The only notable performance came from No. 5 batter Alick Athanaze, who scored 55 runs off 68 balls, including seven boundaries.
Sajid, who reached the milestone of 50 Test wickets in the second innings, recorded impressive figures of 5-50, bringing his match total to nine wickets, while Abrar contributed with 4-27 in 11.3 overs. This marked Sajid's fourth Test five-wicket haul.
