This Rakshabandhan, Parag honored his late wife's traditions by tying rakhis to both his househelp and beloved pet dog, Simba. He expressed his commitment to preserving these rituals, despite Shefali's absence.
On his Instagram account, Parag posted a video of himself performing the aarti for his househelp, Ram, and pet dog, Simba. He then applied tilaks to their foreheads and tied rakhis in front of a large portrait of Shefali.
"Pari, you used to tie Rakhi to our baby Simba and our Ram. I want you to keep doing it through me, so today I tied Rakhi to Simba and Ram from your side. Now I am going to fulfill all your duties… Love you till our last breath (sic)," Parag captioned the touching video.
'Bigg Boss 13' contestant Hindustani Bhau, who was also Shefali's rakhi brother, tied a rakhi to himself this year in memory of the late actress.
In July, Parag shared an emotional letter crafted from the perspective of his pet dog, Simba, dedicated to Shefali.
"Simba to Mom - To the bestest Maa in the universe. Pari loves her baby Simba the most, and Simba loves her mom the most. Today, it’s been one month since Simba hasn’t seen you physically, but he can feel your love, presence, and affection all around him. Mom, stay happy, stay blessed. I love you eternally. Keep praying and keep loving my mom.. lots of love to all wonderful friends -Simba Jariwala Tyagi," Parag wrote.
