Devotees will perform Kharna Puja on Wednesday evening, followed by a rigorous 36-hour 'Nirjala' fast (total fast without water).

Traffic Superintendent Aparajit Lohan stated that vehicular access along Ashok Rajpath will be restricted from Kargil Chowk to Didarganj on April 3 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., and on Friday from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m., or until normal traffic resumes.

Only vehicles transporting Chhath devotees and emergency service vehicles, such as ambulances, will be allowed during these designated hours, Lohan added.

Furthermore, along JP Ganga Path and Atal Path, all general vehicle traffic will be prohibited in both directions from Digha Golambar to Gaighat on JP Ganga Path.

On Atal Path, vehicle movement will be restricted from Digha towards R Block, and parking along these routes is also banned.

Vehicles belonging to devotees heading to JP Setu East Ghat will be permitted entry starting at 3:30 p.m., with designated parking in the western lane of Atal Path.

Vehicles traveling towards Gaighat are advised to utilize the Old Bypass or New Bypass to reach Dhanki Mor and Biscoman Golambar, with parking facilities arranged near the respective ghats.

The district administration has designated 13 parking lots near the ghats for devotees. Key locations include Patlipul Ghat, Digha Ghat, Shiva Ghat, and Minar Ghat in Digha.

From these parking areas, devotees are expected to continue their journey to the ghats on foot, Lohan mentioned.

Lohan also noted that more than 300 police officers, including 125 traffic personnel, will be stationed at 60 critical points to manage traffic and uphold public safety. Six cranes are also on standby to remove vehicles parked inappropriately.

A total of 92 ghats have been prepared for the Chhath rituals stretching from Digha to Didarganj.

Moreover, 41 ghats and seven ponds have been set up within the limits of the Patna Municipal Corporation.

These sites are equipped with safety barricades, lighting, drinking water facilities, toilets, and changing areas. Continuous cleaning efforts are in progress.
