Bhopal/Ahmedabad, April 9 (NationPress) The Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari urged his party members on Wednesday to vehemently criticize the Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), similar to the way the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, addresses them.

“Congress leaders must challenge the RSS with vigor, just like LoP Rahul Gandhi does. Those who hesitate to confront the RSS cannot hope to combat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP,” Patwari remarked during the ‘Nyaypath’ session of the All India Congress in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

He emphasized that the RSS operates as a political entity and called on Congress leaders and members to commit to a more confrontational strategy against the organization.

“The RSS claims to be a social and cultural organization. However, when PM Modi implemented ‘note-bandi’, the RSS remained silent. This indicates that the BJP and RSS are intertwined. Congress leaders should respond to them accordingly,” Patwari stated.

He also noted that when the demonetization policy was introduced in 2016, LoP Rahul Gandhi warned the nation about its negative impact on the Indian economy.

“While the BJP ridiculed Rahul Gandhi, the RSS backed the demonetization,” he remarked.

Patwari insisted that all Congress leaders should acknowledge the RSS strictly as a political organization.

“Those who are afraid to criticize the RSS cannot successfully challenge or defeat the BJP and PM Modi,” he reiterated.

On April 8-9, the Indian National Congress (INC) held a two-day All India Congress Committee (AICC) conclave in Ahmedabad, marking its first such meeting in Gujarat in over sixty years.

The event, themed ‘Nyaypath: Sankalp, Samarpan aur Sangharsh’ (Path of Justice: Resolve, Dedication and Struggle), took place against the historically significant backdrop of the Sabarmati Riverfront, situated between the Sabarmati and Kochrab Ashrams, which are deeply rooted in the narrative of India’s freedom movement.

With more than 1,700 elected and co-opted AICC members present, the conclave aimed to reaffirm the party’s ideological foundations and outline its strategy for rejuvenation, particularly in Gujarat, a state historically ruled by the BJP.
