Chennai, Oct 1 (NationPress) The Jaipur Pink Panthers executed a stunning comeback to secure a nail-biting 37-36 win against the Haryana Steelers during a Season 12 clash of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) at the SDAT Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday.

The reigning champions had established a lead of ten points at one point, but the Narender Redhu-led team surged back, scoring an impressive 17 points in the last quarter.

Sahil Satpal and Ali Samadi were pivotal, contributing seven and six points respectively, while Aryan Kumar and Deepanshu Khatri each added four tackle points. For the Haryana Steelers, Vinay delivered a Super 10, and Rahul Sethpal achieved a High Five, but it wasn't enough to secure victory. This match also served as a form of revenge for Narender Redhu, who had previously lost to the Haryana Steelers and Manpreet Singh in the finals of PKL 11 while coaching the Patna Pirates.

The match began strongly for the defending champions, with Vinay scoring first, followed by Neeraj Kumar's tackle on Nitin Kumar. Deepanshu Khatri responded for the Jaipur Pink Panthers by taking down Vinay, and Ali Samadi displayed his offensive skills. However, the Steelers began to assert themselves.

Vinay executed a successful Do-or-Die raid to give his team a three-point edge, followed by Rahul Ahri tackling Nitin Kumar, keeping him quiet early on. Shivam Patare then achieved a couple of two-point raids, establishing a 10-4 lead after the first ten minutes.

The Jaipur Pink Panthers displayed tenacity, fighting back with a couple of Super Tackles to narrow the gap to three points at 11-8. Nonetheless, Ashish Narwal halted their momentum with strong raids. The Haryana Steelers eventually executed the first All Out of the match, courtesy of a tackle by Rahul Sethpal, maintaining a seven-point lead at halftime with a score of 20-13.

The Steelers kicked off the second half as they did the first, with Vinay scoring first for them. Rahul Sethpal also notched his third tackle of the night, providing breathing room for his team. However, Aryan Kumar secured a Super Tackle and followed it up with another tackle, keeping his team close.

As the game slowed down, the Jaipur Pink Panthers gradually clawed back, bringing the score to 24-20. Deepanshu Khatri and Sahil kept the points coming, but Rahul Sethpal completed his High Five, extending his team's lead to six points (26-20) as they entered the final quarter.

In the last ten minutes, both teams fought fiercely, with the Steelers clinging to a 30-26 lead. However, Ali Samadi and Sahil Satpal found their rhythm, with Sahil executing a two-point raid, narrowing the gap to just one point as the clock wound down.

Trying to play the clock, the Steelers faced resistance from the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Nitin Rawal made a crucial tackle on Vinay, executing an All Out and swinging the advantage to his team, giving them a one-point lead.

In the final raid, Vinay managed to secure a bonus point before being tackled by Deepanshu, sealing a thrilling comeback victory for the two-time champions in the match's dying moments.
