New Delhi, Nov 23 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt birthday wishes to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday, commending his relentless dedication to ensuring that parliamentary activities remain effective and focused on the public.
Om Birla, a prominent leader of the BJP, was born to Shrikrishna Birla and Shakuntala Devi in a Marwari Hindu household. He holds a master's degree in commerce from Government Commerce College in Kota and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University in Ajmer.
Currently, he serves as the 18th Speaker of the Lok Sabha, having been re-elected on June 26. Prior to his parliamentary role, he represented the Kota South Assembly in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from 2003 to 2014. He won the 2024 Lok Sabha Speaker election as a candidate of the NDA. He is also a three-time Member of Parliament from the Kota Lok Sabha constituency.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, joined the chorus of well-wishers with a post saying, "Heartfelt birthday wishes to Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla ji. I pray for your excellent health, long life, and a blissful future."
