New Delhi, April 5 (NationPress) Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is at the helm of a high-profile Indian parliamentary delegation attending the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from April 5 to 9.

This gathering represents a pivotal event for international parliamentary collaboration, with Speaker Birla set to underscore India's dedication to inclusive governance and social justice.

A statement from the Lok Sabha Secretariat confirmed that Birla, accompanied by an esteemed group of parliamentarians, will engage actively in the assembly discussions.

“Om Birla will address the Assembly during the High-Level Segment of the General Debate focused on Parliamentary Action for Social Development and Justice,” the statement elaborated.

In his address, the Speaker will highlight India's progressive approach towards equitable governance through legislative measures.
