New Delhi, Dec 12 (NationPress) BJP Members of Parliament expressed their appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who organized a remarkable dinner for all National Democratic Alliance (NDA) MPs at his official residence in the capital. They described the gathering as warm, personal, and unprecedented.
The dinner took place on Thursday evening and represented one of the most significant interactions between the Prime Minister and alliance MPs following the NDA's victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.
BJP MP Dinesh Sharma reflected on the occasion, praising the Prime Minister's personal engagement. “It was an extraordinary gesture. Just like a guardian of the house checks on each member’s well-being, the Prime Minister demonstrated profound concern for the MPs,” he stated, noting that many lawmakers felt genuinely valued.
BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb shared similar feelings, emphasizing how the event made numerous MPs feel esteemed. “It is our privilege. Many of us are MPs who have never dined at the Prime Minister's residence. Yet, this time, a significant number of us enjoyed tea and a meal with the Prime Minister. Everyone relished the experience,” he remarked.
This dinner was originally scheduled during the previous Parliament session but was deferred due to the severe floods in Punjab. With preparations renewed this week, attendance from all NDA MPs was reported to be complete, according to sources. Senior Union Ministers were tasked with managing coordination for MPs from their respective regions to facilitate smooth arrangements.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP MP Sukanta Majumdar coordinated with MPs from Odisha and West Bengal, while Union Minister Kiren Rijiju oversaw arrangements for legislators from the Northeastern states.
Approximately 54 tables were arranged for the occasion, each seating eight MPs from various alliance partners alongside BJP MPs.
In a unique format aimed at fostering interaction, a Union Minister was placed at each table. Prime Minister Modi also circulated throughout the venue, spending time with MPs, a gesture many leaders described as memorable and warm.
