New Delhi, December 23 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the two-time Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra and his spouse, Himani Mor, at his residence located at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg on Tuesday.

Chopra made history by becoming the first Indian athlete to secure an Olympic gold medal in track and field at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. He continued his remarkable journey by clinching gold at the World Athletics Championships in 2023 and a silver medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
In acknowledgment of his stellar achievements and dedicated service to the nation, Lt Col (Hony) Neeraj Chopra was honored with an honorary commission in the Territorial Army by President Droupadi Murmu on April 16, 2025.
