Hyderabad, Nov 10 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of the renowned Telangana poet Andesri.
The Prime Minister noted that the loss of Andesri has created a significant emptiness in our cultural and intellectual framework.
“His writings embodied the essence of Telangana. As a prolific poet and philosopher, he was the voice of the populace, voicing their challenges, dreams, and enduring spirit. In a related statement, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed his deep sorrow over Andesri's passing, offering condolences to the bereaved family.
Pawan Kalyan remarked in a message on ‘X’ that by composing the state anthem "Jaya Jayahe Telangana Janani Jaya Ketanam," he secured an everlasting legacy in Telangana's history. Expressing deep sorrow over Andesri garu's demise, I extend my sincerest condolences to his family.
“His literary contributions resonate with all of us. He began his journey as a cattle herder and construction worker, ultimately navigating into the world of literature. He possessed a profound understanding of Telangana's folk traditions and rural life. He also wrote numerous film songs,” noted the actor-politician.

Andesri passed away on Monday morning while receiving treatment at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad. He was 64 years old.
He had been admitted to Gandhi Hospital late Sunday night after collapsing at his residence in Lalaguda.
Born on July 18, 1961, in the village of Rebarthi, located in the present Jangaon district, his birth name was Ande Yellaiah.
Despite lacking formal education, he ascended to become one of Telangana’s most esteemed poets, earning a doctorate from Kakatiya University in honor of his contributions.
