New Delhi, Sep 18 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP from Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal, remarked on Thursday that the remarkable flow of birthday wishes directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi from world leaders serves as a clear signal of India's expanding influence on a global scale.
In a statement to IANS, Khandelwal noted, “The manner in which global leaders have conveyed their sincere birthday wishes to PM Modi signifies the profound trust and esteem that India holds today. Under his stewardship, India is not merely engaging in global issues—it is now set to shape the global order. Our nation occupies a critical and strategic role within the international sphere. The collective greetings from global leaders to our honorable PM underline that India is now positioned to dictate the 'world order'.
Khandelwal also sharply countered recent accusations from the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, regarding alleged 'systemic' vote deletions in Congress-led areas.
“Rahul Gandhi has made it a habit to utter unfounded claims. Each time they face electoral defeat, they point fingers at EVMs or the Election Commission. Yet, when they emerge victorious, all is well. Gandhi must realize that the public is disenchanted with the Congress Party. He has resorted to mere accusations, and the populace no longer regards him seriously,” he stated.
Regarding the Patna High Court's directive for the Congress to withdraw a contentious AI-created video featuring PM Modi and his late mother, Heeraben, Khandelwal expressed approval of the ruling.
“We applaud the High Court’s verdict. Whether it concerns the Prime Minister’s mother or any ordinary citizen’s family, ridiculing someone’s relatives, especially through AI, is utterly unacceptable. Politics must maintain its dignity. The Congress should reflect on this reprimand from the court,” he said to IANS.
Khandelwal also addressed the announcement made by the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board regarding nationwide protests after the Supreme Court declined to suspend the Waqf Amendment Act.
“The Amendment is now law. Certain political factions are raising objections merely to incite turmoil. These individuals are striving for victory at any cost and attempting to provoke public unrest. However, the citizens are aware and will not be swayed by such tactics any longer,” he remarked.
On the execution of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Delhi, akin to Bihar, Khandelwal asserted that this initiative is long awaited.
“We fully endorse this decision. There are numerous illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators in Delhi, and it is crucial to cleanse the voter rolls. Authentic voters need protection, and fraudulent names must be eliminated. This is vital for the integrity of our democracy,” he concluded.
