Indore, Sep 13 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated significant reforms within the nation's legal framework, exemplified by the replacement of outdated regulations with three new criminal laws, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Chief Minister Yadav asserted that Madhya Pradesh has achieved a leading position in implementing the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) throughout the state.

He emphasized that ongoing monitoring reflects the progressive measures being undertaken in accordance with the directives from the Centre.

Chief Minister Yadav shared these insights during an event hosted by the legal cell of the Visva Hindu Parishad (VHP), affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), in Indore.

"The moment the blindfold on the statue of justice was lifted in the Supreme Court, the reforms commenced. A blindfolded judicial system is incompatible with Indian democracy. Justice must be served with clarity," CM Yadav remarked, while addressing a gathering of advocates linked to the VHP and other right-wing factions.

Additionally, highlighting the measures taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led state government, the Chief Minister stated that there will be no tolerance for individuals engaged in unlawful activities that disrupt the state's peace.

He mentioned that offenders are being penalized impartially and without bias.

"Recently, my administration acted against a family entangled in various illegal enterprises. We have undertaken decisive steps, and the process remains ongoing. Regardless of their identity or power, our government treats all offenders uniformly, devoid of prejudice," CM Yadav emphasized.

He also addressed the prohibition on the use of loudspeakers beyond allowed decibel levels in religious and public venues.

Furthermore, he mentioned the strict ban on the sale of meat in open areas within the state.

"Citizens are free to practice their faith as per their beliefs, but no one is above the law. I made this clear right from my first day as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Consequently, over 60,000 illegally installed loudspeakers have been dismantled in the past six months," Chief Minister Yadav stated.

According to the directives from the Madhya Pradesh government, places of worship may utilize a maximum of two loudspeakers, within specified decibel limits: 75db in industrial areas during the day and 70db at night; 65db in commercial zones during the day and 55db at night; and 55db in residential zones during the day and 45db at night.

In 'silence zones', the decibel level must remain below 50db during the day and 40db at night.

Point of View

It is imperative to recognize the crucial role that the government plays in reforming the legal framework of the nation. With the introduction of new laws and the commitment to uphold justice, it reflects a broader vision to ensure fairness and order, aligning with the principles of democracy. Such initiatives must be supported while ensuring they are executed with integrity.
