Chennai, Oct 22 (NationPress) The spokesperson for the Tamil Nadu BJP, A.N.S. Prasad, offered birthday wishes to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, praising his visionary leadership and impactful role in bolstering India’s cooperative landscape.
In his message, Prasad characterized Amit Shah as a “true architect of cooperative excellence”, whose energetic leadership has empowered farmers, women's self-help groups, and rural entrepreneurs.
“Under his guidance, the cooperative sector has transformed from inactivity to a vital engine of inclusive growth,” he stated.
A.N.S. Prasad emphasized that since taking over the Cooperation Ministry in July 2021, Amit Shah has led numerous reforms that have enhanced transparency, integrated technology, and increased accountability within cooperative institutions.
“His reforms have revitalized over 800,000 cooperatives throughout India, directly benefiting nearly 600 million citizens by improving access to credit, housing, healthcare, and essential goods,” noted the BJP spokesperson.
He commended the launch of the National Cooperation Policy 2025, a significant framework introduced after 23 years, which outlines six essential pillars, including institutional strengthening and digital inclusion.
The policy, according to Prasad, aims to triple the cooperative sector’s contribution to GDP to 5 percent by 2034 and enlist 500 million members, reinforcing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Prasad also highlighted the computerization of 63,000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), which has revolutionized rural finance by streamlining transactions and minimizing corruption.
“Over the past four years, more than 100 initiatives have modernized cooperative banks and societies, doubling deposits and enhancing efficiency,” he added.
Referring to HM Amit Shah’s governance philosophy as the “Five Ps — People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership, and Peace,” Prasad remarked that the Home Minister’s vision has transformed cooperatives into ethical and sustainable institutions.
Initiatives such as Sahkar Rojgar Utsav have fostered employment and innovation in rural India.
“Shri Amit Shah’s journey is a testament to selfless service and unwavering commitment to national unity,” Prasad stated, expressing his heartfelt wishes for Shah's health and longevity.
“He stands as the beacon of a cooperative renaissance that uplifts every Indian. Happy Birthday, Amit Shah Ji! Jai Hind! Vande Mataram!” he concluded.
