Chennai, February 2 (NationPress) The talented actress Preity Mukhundan, who stars alongside Atharvaa Murali and Kayadu Lohar in the much-anticipated romantic film, 'Idhayam Murali' directed by Aakash Baskaran, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the film's crew for their support during her illness.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a behind-the-scenes video along with multiple photos taken on set, stating, "This is an appreciation post for all the lovely folks who cared for me when I was feeling extremely unwell and practically in a vegetative state. I saved the best for last (even though we were at odds with each other at that time)."
The film has generated significant buzz and is considered one of the most awaited films of the year.
It’s worth noting that during the title launch of the film, Atharvaa dedicated 'Idhayam Murali' to all individuals experiencing unreciprocated love.
At the title launch event held at St Joseph’s Institute of Technology in Chennai, Atharvaa engaged the audience of students by asking, "How many of you are in one-sided love?"
He elaborated, "The joy, sadness, and disappointment experienced in one-sided love are often more profound than that in mutual love, making it unforgettable. We aim to portray this and honor the concept of one-sided love through our film."
The title 'Idhayam Murali' evokes memories of the cult classic 'Idhayam', a major hit for Atharvaa’s father, Murali.
Atharvaa further explained, "We chose the title 'Idhayam Murali' not just for my father’s legacy. In the film, I embody an 'Idhayam Murali,' reflecting my own experience of one-sided love. I believe everyone has their own 'Idhayam Murali' within them. This film is a tribute to all one-sided lovers."
The teaser features Atharvaa as Idhayam Murali, starting with him in the US watching a friend's proposal video. He soon receives a call from his uncle, inquiring about his absence at the wedding, prompting him to rush back to India.
Renowned music director Thaman makes his return to acting with this film, having previously starred in Shankar’s popular film 'Boys', and he also composed the music for 'Idhayam Murali'.
In addition to Atharvaa, Preity Mukhundan, Kayadu Lohar, and Thaman, the cast includes Natty, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid, Angeline, Pragya, Sudhakar, and Yashashree.
Cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, with editing by Pradeep E Ragav. Co-direction was led by Senthilkumar Kesavan, with dialogues crafted by Ramanagirivasan, Aakash Baskaran, and Dravid Selvam.
